2008

  • 16 June 2008: New deadline for a second round of public comments on the Czech Arbitration Court's revised proposal to amend both the .eu ADR Rules and the Supplemental Rules with regard to the planned "Class Complaints".
  • 7 March 2008: Deadline for public comments on the Czech Arbitration Court's proposal to amend both the .eu ADR Rules and Supplemental Rules. The amendments seek (i) to implement a new procedure within .eu ADR which would enable multiple Complainants to join in a single "class action" Complaint against a suspected cybersquatter; and (ii) to implement further stage of electronic-only ADR which would not depend on the advanced electronic signatures.
  • 19 February 2008: Deadline for public comments on EURid's evaluation of different options for the introduction of Internationalised Domain Names (IDNs, i.e. domain names with characters that do not appear in the standard Latin script like é, ç or ö, as well as characters from non-Latin scripts like Cyrillic or Greek) under the .eu Top Level Domain: http://survey.eurid.eu/en/IDN.
  • 1 January 2008: The Czech Arbitration Court reduces the total fees becoming due for .eu related disputes by 10%, see Supplemental ADR Rules Annex A.

  • 18 April 2006: The first .eu ADR decision is rendered, cheers to the panelist Enrique Batalla.
  • 7 April 2006: Begin of landrush registrations, anyone within the European Union can register available .eu domain names on a first come first served basis.
  • 7 February 2006: Phase II of the phased registration period begins.

2005

  • 7 December 2005 at 11:00: EURid begins to accept applications for .eu domain names (phase I of the phased registration period).
